Gateway Hotel, Marco Polo - Hong Kong

The central location made it easy to explore, but finding the hotel entrance was challenging from the taxi drop-off. The room was well-appointed, but the lack of a view was a slight downside.

Beds were a bit small.

I could get twin room with a sea view, truly enjoyed that. A work desk, a coffee/tea maker, and TV were a bonus. The staff were efficient at reception desk and breakfast was amazingly good and hot.

Friendly staff and great location in the mall.

Our room had a good bed and a pleasant view.

The personnel was honest offered me a neat and updated room with the view of harbour and safe deposit box, as example.

fantastic walkable access to parks and waterfront attractions

From the moment we checked in, we loved the warm service and the hotel's unbeatable access to nearby attractions like Hong Kong Park just a short scenic stroll away and the vibrant Harbour City mall practically at our doorstep, made our afternoon explorations so enjoyable.

Overall an excellent stay on vacation. Great budget hotel in a local area just next door to a mall with hi-end shops & across the other shopping stores in the streets as well as the ferry terminal. Honest staff, warm and delicious breakfast with beautiful views over Hong Kong island.

This hotel sits perfectly in the heart of the Harbour City mall. Super convenient for shopping and dining. My room had good space and a comfortable bed, which helped after long days exploring. The free mini-bar offer is a bit misleading. Just a couple of sodas and beer, so don't expect a fully stocked bar. The check-in took longer than expected, but the staff did try to assist with my queries. I faced issues finding the entrance from the taxi drop-off point, which isn't right outside. Had to lug my bags through the mall, not a great first impression. The bathroom could use an overhaul. There was a lingering smell that felt off. Still, the view from the window was great, just wish there was more clarity about room configurations. If you're after location over amenities, it fits the bill, but be prepared for some inconveniences.

We both found all the staff , from the young guys on the doors and bags to the two head chefs ( who both took time out to talk to us at the bar , very impressive and made us feel very spech) to the lovely lady looking after the main eating area on level 3 all amicable,friendly , helpful and made our stay very pleasurable. Food was very diversified and quality eating .All was fresh and very well presented, terrific variety and if wasnt available chef was obliging and would cook it up if possible in realms of available ingredients. Access to transit and central proximity was excellent.Will certainly stay there again and have no hesitation in recommending it to any of our friends or aquaintenances travelling to HK. Thanks to the staff once again.Great Trip !!!

The prime location facilitated easy access to shopping and attractions. Enjoyed the complimentary h'or d'oeuvres and wine in the evening. The lack of an in-house gym and pool was a drawback, as well as the awkward shower door design. Staff service varied significantly, impacting the overall experience.

Awesome stay with great staff!

I had such a nice 3-night stay with my friends! The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially Allan who got my bags to my room quick. Plus, I got a free room upgrade! The restaurant was cool too, but wish the pool was open during the week. Still, cozy vibes overall!

The convenience.

Very noisy as renovation work is going on at room 1024/1025. Front desk counter should not have given the room on the 10 floor.
